Learn about
the ESI CAD Library
The ECLIPSE CAD Library
is stored in two self-extracting execuatable files (diska.exe and diskb.exe)
containing a number of ECLIPSE CAD drawings and a special AutoCAD
menu for the drawings. diska.exe contains DWG files for use
with AutoCAD and diskb.exe contains files in DXF format for use with
other CAD programs. The AutoCAD files require version 10.0 or
later.
AutoCAD users famliar
with using on-screen menus to select commands and options will find
inserting an ECLIPSE drawing quite routine.
-
Assuming you are in
the AutoCAD program and have the files loaded into the
C:\TEMP directory, type the following at the
Command: prompt, MENU
<press Enter> C:\TEMP\ECLIPSE <press
ENTER>
The ECLIPSE menu should appear on the right hand
side of the screen. The drawings are broken up into
different groups. DOOR_FRMS -
For Door Frame Details, COMP_GLZG -
For the Compression Glazing System, TRIM_GLZG
- For the Trim System Glazing FLUSH_GLZG -
For Eclipse Flush Trim System Glazing
-
Use the ECLIPSE CAD
drawing index from the CAD Library
WWW page to locate the desired frame detail. Note the
file name for the drawing.
-
In AutoCAD, choose
the detail type from the menu. You will then see a list of
the drawing files within that type group. Select the
drawing filename you found in the index and the files will load
automatically.
-
The ECLIPSE CAD
drawing should appear on the screen, allowing you to insert it
where needed and rotate it to the position
needed.
(Note: At this point if the
AutoCAD system variable DRAGMODE is not on, the
ECLIPSE CAD drawing will only be visible on the screen after you
have selected the insertion point and the rotation
angle.) |
